INFORMATION FOR WINTER 2012 -The winter term will run from Mon., January 9th - Sat., March 17th, 2012.
Tuition/Materials/Fees/Refunds:
BABIES CLASSES: (Birth - 9 months) We are offering Babies classes for children birth to 9 months. These classes are for parents who want to engage in an activity with their infant and want to learn about their child's musical development right away. Our classes are rooted in the very latest research from Dr. Lili Levinowitz, one of the leading researchers in early childhood music development in the U.S. and co-author of the Music Together® program! Please note that Babies classes will run for 8 weeks starting the third week of January. Fee: $145.00 plus the one-time non-refundable registration fee of $15.00 for new families.
MIXED AGE CLASS: (Birth to 5) meets once a week for 10 weeks. Fee: $180.00 for the first child and a family fee of $115.00 applies to a second child (the second child is anyone 9 months or older accompanying a registered child to class). The fee for a third child is included in the family fee for the second child. In other words, if you have 3 young children, you pay the same as for 2. There is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $15.00 for new families.
MUSIC TOGETHER BIG KIDS: (for children 5, 6 and 7) Classes meet for one hour once a week in a ten week term. Parents are welcome to join us for any class, but are requested at the first and final class of the term and the last 15 minutes of every class. Fee: $225.00 for the first child and $170.00 for a second child of the same family. Big Kids classes lay the foundation for Basic Music Literacy, complementing music instruction in school or instrument lessons, and leading to a lifetime of joyful music-making. The curriculum includes solfège, solos and ensembles, folk dances, harmony singing, vocal development, and drumming. In a safe, fun environment, your child can experiment with new activities like conducting and improvisation, story songs, and game songs. Classes will run in Rhinebeck and Kingston this winter. The materials vary slightly to accommodate the activities. Please note: this class in intended only for children ages 5, 6 and 7. Only siblings birth to 9 months may accompany a registered child to class at no cost. Thank you.
INTERGENERATIONAL/MIXED AGE CLASS: These classes meet for 10 weeks and the cost is $175.00 for the first child and $115.00 family fee for a second and third child.
TUITION FOR MIXED AGES AND BABIES CLASSES INCLUDES: 2 CDs of the current collection, and a fully illustrated songbook to accompany the CD's. Two make-up classes are included in the tuition. New families in Mixed Ages will receive "Music Together at Home; helping your child grow musically" a guide and DVD for parents and caregivers to offer you more information about the basics of our program and how we can help you in it. New families of Babies classes will receive a guide for their class as well.
CLASS CHOICES: When you register, please select a first and second choice. We will do our best to place you in the class of your choice, but your chances increase when you register early. Once you have registered you will receive an e-mail from us stating that we received your registration. A week to ten days before the starting date of class, you will be notified about your confirmed class time.
REFUNDS/CREDIT: Full refunds (minus the registration fee) will be issued prior to the registration deadline which is Monday, January 2nd. After that, partial refunds or credit towards a future term will be considered on an individual basis. (Further note: If you receive a credit it is valid for one year from the date it is issued.)
